Contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) scan of CV catheterization. Three days after catheter misplacement (A, B), CT scan showed that the double-lumen catheter (white arrow) entered the brachiocephalic trunk (red arrow) via the right internal jugular vein (arrowhead). One month later, the original catheter was replaced with a single-lumen catheter (C, D), and no hematoma was observed. Another month later, the catheter was retracted (E, F), while the guidewire was left in place (red arrow). CT confirmed no signs of hematoma. Two days after the guidewire was also retracted, CT again showed no signs of hematoma (G, H)
